TRAVEL WITH IMPACT
Our MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experiences are all about conscious travel. We handpick these experiences because they make a positive impact on Scotland's communities and the people who enjoy them.

Tormore Forest Community Project
Tormore Forest on the Isle of Skye is a hidden gem with amazing views and ancient sites. The local community wants to make it more accessible, but they need a hand. By helping with tree planting, building trails, and removing invasive plants, you'll be giving back to the area and supporting a cool local project that everyone can enjoy.

Gaelic Language Workshop
Get a taste of Scotland’s roots at the National Centre for Gaelic Language and Culture, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig. You’ll join a fun, hands-on session where you’ll dive into the Gaelic language and discover the role of trees in the Gaelic alphabet. Since 1973, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig has been all about preserving and promoting Gaelic through education, research, and local initiatives.

Dundreggan Rewilding Centre
The Dundreggan Rewilding Centre is dedicated to restoring the Caledonian Forest, a once-vast ecosystem now reduced to just 1% of its original size. Learn about Trees For Life’s inspiring rewilding projects firsthand on the Skye High and Highland Fling tour.

Columba 1400: Social Enterprise Café
A stop at the Columba 1400 café offers more than great food with awesome views. Every purchase supports Columba 1400’s mission to empower young Scots through leadership programmes. Enjoy homemade soups, toasties, and coffee while contributing to a fantastic cause. This stop isn’t fixed to one tour and is based on weather, traffic, and the guide’s discretion.
How Are These Experiences Chosen?
