HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION
Most of our tours include mixed gender, multi-share hostel accommodation as standard, but on a few occasions, we offer alternative options like Bed & Breakfasts or hotels (details provided below).
If you would prefer to stay in a single-gender dorm, give us a shout at info@haggisadventures.com before your trip – we’ll do our best to accommodate.
All hostels have great facilities, provide free linen, (you don't need a sleeping bag), and have top quality self-catering kitchens, security, laundry facilities and comply with stringent safety regulations. Most hostels have shared bathrooms.
Morag's Lodge
Hidden away in the trees and overlooking the banks of Loch Ness, Morag’s Lodge is more than just a place to stay - it’s our HAGGiS-owned home in the Highlands! Designed with cosy, rustic charm, it offers comfy beds, en-suite bathrooms, and some of the best power showers around. The lodge is running on 100% renewable electricity and serving up locally sourced Highland produce. It's got hiking trails all around, easy access to Loch Ness, and an on-site pub featuring local drinks.
We stay at Morag's Lodge on the Wild Skye Loch Ness Hunter and the Easter in Scotland tour.
Want a Little Extra Privacy?
Private rooms aren’t available on our hostel-based tours, but here’s the good news: if you’re after a private room, check out our sister company, Highland Explorer Tours, who offer private Bed & Breakfast options.
The Skye Inn (Bed & Breakfast)
Another one of our Haggis-owned gems – and, if we may say so ourselves, it’s one of the comfiest places to rest your head! The Skye Inn is a deluxe Bed & Breakfast located right in the heart of Portree, the capital of the Isle of Skye. We stay here on our Wild Skye Volunteer Adventure – get ready to snuggle up by the open fire with a warming dram in hand!
Hotel Accommodation
For select tours, we arrange Highland hotel stays - perfect for special experiences like the 4-Day Puffin Island Hopper. These small, family-run hotels are guaranteed to make you feel right at home with a genuine Scottish welcome. Facilities here may be a bit simpler than big city hotels, but the character, style, and closeness to town centres make for an authentic stay. Expect traditional Scottish breakfasts to start your day, with many hotels also offering a dinner option to complete the experience.

At HAGGiS Adventures, we want everyone to have an epic time with us! Scotland’s countryside is amazing, but it can be a bit tricky to navigate sometimes, especially when it comes to certain accessibility limitations.
