Why We Care
Our tours have been bringing together amazing people from every corner of the globe, each with their own stories, cultures, and identities. We believe that this is what makes every HAGGiS tour unique – the connections we make along the way!
This isn't just true for our guests; it's at the heart of our crew, too. Working side by side with incredible people from different backgrounds means no two days are ever the same. We learn from each other's life experiences and perspectives, making our work more fun and creative.
How We Celebrate LGBTQIA+
We're excited to introduce you to our dedicated Pride Circle – an awesome bunch of people at HAGGiS driving diversity, inclusion, and meaningful dialogue within our organisation and the LGBTQIA+ community in Scotland.
Empowering Voices All Year
Every month since 2023, our Pride Circle members have been gathering to explore topics ranging from integrating inclusive policies to building LGBTQIA+-friendly networks, championing under-represented communities, and supporting our staff.
Using Pronouns in Emails
Our staff are encouraged to include their pronouns in their email signatures, and we're delighted to see many of our team embracing this. You can read about the benefits of this practice here.
LGBT Youth Scotland
At our Christmas Raffle 2023, we raised £1825 to support the Edinburgh-based charity LGBT Youth Scotland. The money was raised to support young people in Scotland, creating a safe space to express themselves, as well as providing vital advice and guidance.
Come Meet Us at the Pride March!
Whether it's Edinburgh or Inverness - chances are you'll run into us if you attend the yearly Pride March. Be sure to say hello!
Gender Parity
We are proud to be an organisation where women constitute a significant portion of the workforce. Women make up 40% of our driver guide team and a whopping 50% of our wider workforce. Our senior management team is equally balanced, with 50% women.
The women in our team’s dedication and expertise are integral to our success and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
