Right laddies and lassies, if you’re on Santa’s ‘nice’ list this year, it’s time to ask the big, bearded legend for an advance on your Christmas present. Just send him a wee WhatsApp along the lines of:

Dear Santa,

I have been an awesome person this year, and all I want for Christmas is… a trip to Scotland. Ideally, I’d love to experience Scotland at Christmas time. Any chance I can have my present early? Thanks in advance, Steve (aged 25)

Failing that, just book your own adventure as a gift to yourself, because you totally deserve it. Sounds good?

What does Christmas look like in your part of the world? Is it a barbeque on the beach wearing a Santa hat? If you’re in the opposite climate zone it might be more like a lazy day in-front of the TV wearing your new favourite festive PJs.

We don’t disapprove of either, but everyone needs a wee change. Everyone needs to experience Scotland at Christmas time.

Cosy nights, twinkling lights, snow-capped mountains. That’s the kind of festive season we’re talking about! Imagine waking up on Christmas morning in a traditional hotel in Inverness, then stepping outside into the fresh Highland air and wintry scenery. We cannae guarantee snow, but if we find any, we promise to throw a snowball at you when you’re not looking!

A Christmas feast with all the trimmings should warm you up nicely. Failing that, you’ll just need to get into the Scottish festive spirit… whisky!

It’s like something from a wholesome festive movie, with plenty Scottish-style shenanigans thrown in.

Christmas is a time for bringing people together. If your loved ones are on the other side of the world– or you just need a wee break from ‘fam dram’ this year – make new friends and become part of our Christmas clan. That’s our gift to you.

If you already have plans for Christmas, it’s all good. The celebrations continue right into the new year, so you’ll just have to come on one of our Hogmanay tours. Sorted!

• Kit yourself out with a Christmas jumper and some novelty headwear – this is not a compulsory requirement but it is strongly encouraged. Bonus points for silly designs and jumpers with flashing lights and/or sounds.
• On a more sensible note, bring cosy clothing – the perfect excuse to wear your whole winter wardrobe, in one day. Layers are key, woolly socks, fleece pyjamas.
• Send DIY e-postcards to your loved ones – downloaded the Canva smartphone app. to add festive greetings to your Christmassy Scottish selfies and send them to your friends and family.
• Try a hot toddy – if you’re cold, if you’re feeling under the weather, or even if you’re absolutely loving life, you need to experience the internal warmth of this awesome hot drink. Our favourite part is the hot water, of course. Definitely not the whisky…
• Find a cosy pub with a fire – if you can enjoy a hot toddy in front of the fire, even better. We love The Jolly Judge, a hidden pub in Edinburgh's Old Town. 
• Carry a sprig of mistletoe at all times - you never know when you're going to bump into your dream Scotsman/woman, so it's best to be prepared.
